I have also been engaged previously as a virtual Chief Information Officer (CIO) and Chief Information Security Officer (CISO), as well as fractional engagements focusing on strategy, operating models and setting teams up for delivery.
In all, I have 25 years of IT experience, managing large Technology teams (80+) responsible for complex/critical 24/7 systems in industries such as local and central government, education, healthcare, electricity utilities, geotechnical engineering, telecommunications (Wi-Fi, ISP), travel/tourism, not for profit, software (Health and Government registries), media (SVOD, radio and OOH) and IT outsourcing (networking/security and IT MSP).

He has also gained 15+ years’ experience in Cybersecurity, from running a Security Operations Centre (SOC) for a New Zealand Teloc NZ and as a Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) on-site at one of the Cybersecurity company’s customers. At a travel & tourism business, Pete was also the CISO, where he led the Cybersecurity programme and PCI compliance for the organisation. As the CISO of a media & entertainment business, he introduced governance and risk frameworks to ensure work was prioritised based on risk profile with suitable controls in place, as well as creating an enterprise disaster recovery and continuity plan.

On several occasions, I have been asked to share my experiences/insights with startups and larger organisations, advising them on digital operations, customer channels, IT service management, DevOps, strategy, technologies, delivery methodologies and working with SaaS-based solutions.
